Spring Fever

Spring fever leads to searches for bright colors and this Spring I am looking for Pink! I am currently looking for a venue to host a fundraising Photo Exhibit for my team, "Save the Racks" to walk in the Komen 3Day Boston walk this summer! Photos will be focusing on colors of awareness...PINK! With a sidebar of black and whites. Keep checking the blog for a date and time! We need your support! Photos will be priced to sell, as well as photocards, and a doorprize!

Sunny Days

Spring is coming and I am so ready to get out there and take some more photos! I spent this Winter freshening up my skills, working in manual mode, focusing on the art of taking a photo instead of editing. Bel Photographer Bernie Littlefield is an amazing teacher if anyone is looking for a great class. He makes learning the aperture, ISO, shutter speed and depth of field fun! The next class I am taking is Artistry of Photography II. Stay tuned for some photos from the Portland Flower Show!

Great News!

I have taken a few months off from the blog to complete another photography class, "The Art of Photography" with John Wentworth, a known local award winning photographer. I spent the Summer taking photos, traveling, and recently returned from the Bahamas and Jamaica. I am excited to share some new photos and let you in on a little secret! Very Excited that "Gr8 Portland Maine" has chosen my photo to represent a place on their website and is following my blog!! This photo was taken during the Old Port Festival and is a photo of the Customs House, listed on their web as "...an architectural favorite."
Good things are happening with my photos...I have donated a beautiful print of "Blue Boat" to the ALS walk auction in Bangor, and another print for a silent auction to benefit someone local who has undergone serious medical issues. I love love love that my photos get out there and can be used for fundraising!! Earlier this year I donated two prints to the AHA Silent Auction and they sold for a total of over a $120!! Please let me know if you have a benefit and would like to have a print donated for your fundraising event.....

SUMMER IS HERE!

ATTENTION!! Summer is here and we have begun our traveling adventures. Home from a wonderful visit with my friend Jodi in Sarasota, a road trip to Cornville,  a weekend getaway in the Old Port, flower garden tours, prom and the Maine Wine Trail.....Check out the new photos I have posted!
